Produced by Idahams himself, "Shima Remix" maintains the message of the original song about a young lover who is skeptical about showing his true emotion to his love interest while Peruzzi was more demanding and expressive about what he wanted from his love interest. Seyi Shay at the other end, takes on the Bonnie & Clyde vibe as she stands by her partner, while holding back so she is not taken for granted in the long run.
Speaking on the choice of collaboration Idahams says, "As a producer as well as a singer it gives me a little edge to view music a bit differently. So I thought Shima deserved a remix that will have a male expression and a female response. So I spoke with my team and we agreed that Seyi Shay and Perruzi will give it that touch. We then sent it to them and they loved it and see how beautiful they came through on it."

The praised number talks about the extrajudicial killings in Africa, especially in Nigeria and is housed on their forthcoming extended play titled, “Timeless”.
The Davido aided remix for the conscious number about the diminishing state of the country, extrajudicial killings, and police brutality comes just the #EndSARS movements is hitting a fever high across the globe.
